Hyderabad: A woman pedestrian was injured on Tuesday at IDPL cross roads road, Balanagar, when a car driven rashly by a 35-year-old man, hit her.
Rash and negligent driving, possibly under the influence of alcohol, is suspected to have caused the accident. The accident occurred when the car being driven by G Anil (35), a resident of Balkampet, was proceeding from Moinabad towards Balanagar.
According to the police, on reaching IDPL junction, car driver lost control of the wheel and went on to hit the woman. The victim suffered injuries due to the impact.
On receiving a call, the Balanagar police rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to a hospital. Her condition is said to be stable. Subsequently, Anil was caught by the traffic police at Fatehnagar junction.
A case was booked and being investigated. Police have found that Anil, was returning from a function at a farm house in Moinabad and was driving under the influence of alcohol.
