Hyderabad: A local court on Wednesday sentenced a woman to one year of rigourous imprisonment in a cheating case. The court also imposed a fine of Rs.5,000 on her.
The convicted person, A.Lalitha Devi (35), a private employee from Kothapet had cheated the lecturer of a private college by collecting Rs.1.5 lakh as advance for selling her flat and sold it to another party, thus cheating the complainant.
Based on directions of the court, the Chaitanyapuri police booked a case and arrested her.
