Woman killed as lorry mows her down while crossing NH 363 in Mancherial

Mancherial: A 58-year-old woman was killed on the spot when a lorry mowed her down while she was crossing NH 363 in Mandamarri town on Friday.
Mandamarri Sub-Inspector Rajashekhar said that Pillalamarri Lalitha, a daily wage earner from Yapal area in the town received serious injuries when the lorry hit her, resulting in instantaneous death.
She was crossing the national highway after purchasing vegetables at the time of the accident. The lorry was heading to Bellampalli.
Lalitha is survived by two sons and a daughter. Based on a complaint lodged by Nagaraju, the eldest son of Lalitha, a hit and run case was registered against the driver of the lorry. Investigations were taken up.
