Woman killed by speeding car in Hyderabad, four others injured

According to the police, the car was coming from Khilwat Volga hotel towards Shahalibanda and hit a few vehicles including an auto-rickshaw

Hyderabad: In a hit and run case, a 45-year-old woman died and four persons were injured when a speeding car rammed an auto-rickshaw and sped away at Shahalibanda on Wednesday evening.

According to the police, the car was coming from Khilwat Volga hotel towards Shahalibanda and hit a few vehicles including an auto-rickshaw. A woman who was travelling in the auto died while the others in the auto were injured. The car driver sped away towards Hari Bowli junction.

On information, the police reached the spot and shifted the injured to a nearby hospital. The body of the woman, who was identified as a resident of Ghousenagar in Bandlaguda, was shifted to Osmania General Hospital mortuary.

A case has been registered by the police and efforts are on to track down the car. Eyewitnesses told the police that the car was going at high speed and apparently the driver lost control and crashed into the auto and a couple of motorcycles.
