Woman killed, husband injured at Auto Nagar in Hyderabad

The couple was identified as Ramesh (29), and his wife Swathi (28), both from Vanasthalipuram.

Hyderabad: A woman died on the spot while her husband was injured when the motorcycle they were traveling was hit by a truck at Auto Nagar in Vanasthalipuram here on Monday.

According to the police, the couple was proceeding on their bike Hayathnagar side towards Vanasthalipuram. When they reached Auto Nagar, a truck which was driven in a rash and negligent manner hit their bike from behind.

“The couple fell down and suffered grievous bleeding injuries. While Swathi died on the spot, her husband who suffered grievous injuries was shifted to the hospital for treatment,” police said.

The Vanasthalipuram police booked a case of negligence causing death and injuries and are investigating.
