Woman killed on the spot, husband and daughter injured in Adilabad road accident

Velma Ruthuja (30) suffered grievous head injuries, husband Rakesh Reddy and daughter Kiyara escape with minor injuries

Adilabad: A woman died on the spot, while her husband and daughter sustained minor injuries, when a two-wheeler mowed down their motorbike here on Saturday night.

Adilabad police said Velma Ruthuja (30) was killed on the spot after suffering grievous head injuries, while her husband Rakesh Reddy and daughter Kiyara had minor injuries when they fell off the motorbike against which another two-wheeler dashed, at a railway underbridge near Ganesh temple in the town.

Rakesh Reddy and Kiyara were shifted to a private hospital in the district headquarters.

Hailing from Khodad village in Talamadugu mandal, Rakesh Reddy migrated to Adilabad in search of livelihood a few years ago.
