Suryapet: A woman killed her husband at Patchya Naik thanda of Chivvemla mandal in Suryapet district on Tuesday morning by hitting on his head with a pestle.

The victim was identified as Dharavath Shanker (50).

According to Circle Inspector Vittal, Kavitha lost control when Shanker picked up a quarrel with her and hit him with a pestle on head. He died on the spot in the incident.

On getting the information, Chivvemla police rushed to the spot and took Kavitha into custody.

Police shifted the body of Shanker to Government General hospital at Suryapet for postmortem.
