Woman kills husband over extramarital affair in Meerpet

A woman from Sainagar, Jillelguda, was arrested for killing her husband with an iron rod following an argument over her extramarital affair. The accused later tried to portray the murder as an accident before confessing to the crime during police interrogation.

Hyderabad: A woman was arrested for allegedly killing her husband over her extramarital affair in Meerpet on Sunday.

The suspect, Sandhya, a resident of Sainagar in Jillelguda, attacked her husband Vijay Kumar, an auto-rickshaw driver, with an iron rod, leading to his death at their house following an argument over her alleged affair.

After the incident, Sandhya reportedly dumped the body outside the house and attempted to portray the murder as an accidental death.

She subsequently lodged a complaint with the Meerpet police, who registered a case and, during the course of investigation, discovered that Vijay Kumar had been murdered.

The police, suspecting her involvement, took Sandhya into custody. During interrogation, she confessed to killing her husband as he had become an obstacle to her relationship with another man.
