Medak: In a horrific incident, a woman burnt her daughter alive before setting herself ablaze in Azampura Colony of Medak on Thursday. Both mother and daughter died on the spot.

The deceased were identified as Revathi (28) and her daughter Aadhyasri. Since Revathi had locked herself inside, neighbours could not save them. The police, who rushed to the spot, broke open the door and shifted the bodies to Area Hospital, Medak, for postmortem. A case has been registered and investigation is underway.
