Woman sedated, raped by friends at birthday party in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: A woman was reportedly drugged and raped by a group of youngsters, including her friends, at Kukatpally.
The woman, a resident of Jubilee Hills, was invited for a birthday party few days ago by the suspects, who are her friends.
At the birthday party, they reportedly served her cake laced with sedatives. They committed the offence after she fell unconscious.
They further threatened her not to reveal it to anyone. The incident came to light after the victim fell sick and was taken to the hospital.
She narrated the incident only when her parents questioned her. A complaint was lodged at the Jubilee Hills police station, which was subsequently transferred to Kukatpally on basis of jurisdiction.
