Gadwal: A 59-year-old woman, Shankaramma, was reportedly stabbed to death by her relative following an argument at BC Colony here on Saturday. The accused surrendered before the police.
Shankaramma, a resident of BC Colony near the BC Hostel in Gadwal town, was attacked with a knife and brutally killed in her home by a close relative, Mekala Ramoji. She reportedly succumbed to her injuries on the spot. Following the incident, the accused, Mekala Ramoji, went to the police station and surrendered. Locals said a minor argument between the relatives could have triggered the crime, according to reports.
Upon receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, and the body was shifted to the government hospital for post-mortem. A case has been registered, and an investigation into the murder is underway, the reports added.
