Rajanna Sircilla: A woman threw her two daughters, including a six month old infant into a tank and later jumped into it in an apparent murder-suicide bid in Kothapalli of Ghambiraopet mandal on Friday morning.
While the bodies of children surfaced, the woman’s body is not yet found. Her parents allege that she was harassed by her husband and driven to kill her daughter’s and commit suicide, police said.
According to police, the woman Vatkuri Rekha threw her daughters Abigna (3) and Hansika (six months) into the water before jumping into the local tank at around 4 am.

Villagers, who found the bodies of children in the water around 7 am, informed the police. Some of the villagers found Rekha walking away from the village along with her children at 4 am.
Parents of Rekha are not allowing the police to retrieve the bodies of the children from the tank and launch search for the lady demanding similar kind of treatment to Raju, husband of Rekha. They wanted the police to bring Raju to the spot and give similar treatment.
Unable to tolerate harassment by husband and in-laws, Rekha took an extreme step, they alleged.
