Karimnagar: A 24 year-old woman, Jagiri Swetha, who attempted to end her life on Friday night, died while undergoing treatment in a private hospital in Hyderabad on Saturday morning.
Health problem was said to be the reason for the suicide of the woman.
According to police, a native of Cherlabuthkur of Karimangar rural mandal, Swetha got married to one Prasanth of Arepalli in 2017. The couple had two children. Swetha, who sustained injury to one of her hands in an accident during her childhood, was suffering with the problems till now.
She was disappointed very much as her hand has gradually become weak, according to family members.
On May 26, she went to her mother’s home and attempted suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling on Friday night. After hearing sounds from her room, other family members entered the room and were shocked to find her hanging from the ceiling.
They immediately shifted her to a private hospital in Karimnagar. As her health condition deteriorated, she was shifted to a private hospital in Hyderabad where she breathed her last while undergoing treatment on Saturday morning.
Based on the complaint lodged by her father Yellaiah, Karimnagar rural police registered the case and began investigation into the matter.
