Woman’s body donated to medical college in Karimnagar

A resident of Bhagathnagar of Karimnagar town, Laxmi died of ill-health on Tuesday. She was the wife of retired MEO and Teachers’ union leader, Pentaiah.

Karimnagar: The body of Veeragoni Laxmi was donated to Chalmeda Anand Rao Institute of Medical Sciences under the aegis of Sadashaya Foundation national president Sravan Kumar on Tuesday.

A resident of Bhagathnagar of Karimnagar town, Laxmi died of ill-health on Tuesday. She was the wife of retired MEO and Teachers’ union leader, Pentaiah. Earlier in the past, Pentaiah and Laxmi had come forward to donate their bodies to medical college for research after death and gave written consent to Sadashaya Foundation.


Respecting her aspirations, family members donated her body to medical college. Relatives, well-wishers, political leaders and others appreciated the family members besides paying tributes to Laxmi.

Medical college principal Dr Yasin and anatomy head Dr Anitha also appreciated the family members and Sadashaya Foundation.
