Woman’s gold chain snatched by helmeted man in Amberpet
A woman was allegedly robbed of her gold chain by an unidentified helmeted man in Amberpet on Tuesday afternoon. The suspect approached her outside her residence, engaged her in conversation and fled after snatching the chain. Police are investigating.
Hyderabad: An unidentified man targeted a woman and snatched her gold chain in Amberpet on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the complainant, Ratnamala, was returning home after purchasing vegetables and had just entered her residence at Vedashree Apartment in Durgabai Deshmukh Colony when an unidentified man approached her on foot.
The suspect allegedly engaged her briefly in conversation before suddenly snatching the gold chain from her neck and fleeing from there. The stolen chain is estimated to weigh around 2.5 tolas.
The offender was reportedly wearing a helmet at the time of the incident. The Amberpet police are investigating. Senior officials visited the spot.
