Women cricketers felicitated at RVVK Prasad memorial event
Women cricket internationals Md Shabnam and Pangi Karuna Kumari were felicitated by RVVK Prasad Memorial Cricket Trust in Visakhapatnam. The event marked the 80th birth anniversary of RVVK Prasad, with cash awards and tributes to his contribution
Hyderabad: Cricket internationals Ms Md Shabnam and Ms Pangi Karuna Kumari were felicitated by RVVK Prasad Memorial Cricket Trust on the occasion of RVVK’s 80th birth anniversary at a function held in Visakhapatnam on Thursday.
Mr P Vishnu Kumar Raju, MLA North, who was the chief guest, honoured them.
RV Chandramouli Prasad presented a cash award of Rs 10,000 to Ms Shabnam Shakil, while an equal amount was presented by P Vishnu Kumar Raju to Ms P Karuna Kumari.
On the occasion, K Parthasaradhi, Dr PV Sudhakar, DSN Sastry, P Sathyavantha Rao, and DS Varma spoke. All the speakers recalled the services rendered by RVVK Prasad and his contribution to the game of cricket in Visakhapatnam in particular and the state of Andhra in general.
Mr PR Narayanaswami, trustee, presided over the function and Mr T Mahesh proposed the vote of thanks.
