Siddipet: The TRS women wing of Siddipet district organised a demonstration to protest against the hike in gas cylinder prices by Rs 50 in Siddipet town on Tuesday evening.
Accusing the union government of making the LPG gas cylinder unaffordable to the poor and middle classes, women cooked food on a firewood cooking stoves in the middle of the road. The demonstrators raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the union government. They have played Bathukamma while raising their voice against the increasing prices.
Speaking on the occasion, Municipal Chairperson and TRS leader K Manjula accused the union government of increasing the prices of Petrol, Gas, and Diesel manifold since Narendra Modi has become Prime Minister.
She said that life has become so difficult for the poor and middle class with the prices rises.
