Hyderabad: Scores of women staged a protest at Petbasheerabad police station on Sunday demanding immediate arrest of Bhagirath Sai, the son of Union Minister Bandi Sanjay, who is booked in a POCSO case by the police.

The Petbasheerabad police on Friday registered a case against Sai for allegedly inappropriately behaving with a minor girl at a New Year party in Moinabad.

The girl and her parents made a complaint with the police and a case under various sections of POCSO Act was registered against Sai.

The victim had allegedly that Sai forced her to consume alcohol and touched her private parts. On Sunday, scores of women gathered at the police station and raised slogans.

They demanded the police immediately arrest Sai and remand him in the case. The protesters questionned the police over the delay in arrest of the suspect.
