Minister addressed a review meeting with revenue and police officials of Balkonda Assembly constituency at Velpur mandal headquarters on the pandemic
Nizamabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Vemula Prashanth Reddy directed the Revenue and police officials to work in tandem to check the spread of Covid-19 and create awareness among people about the virus, on Friday.
Addressing a review meeting with Balkonda Assembly constituency level revenue and police officials at Velpur mandal headquarters on the pandemic, he said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao imposed the lockdown for the well-being of the people and asked them to implement it strictly.
The Minister said that in some villages people had imposed self-lockdown to control the spread of the virus and this had helped in breaking the chain and bring it under control in the district.
This should be given as an example by officials while spreading awareness among people, he said, and asked the police to be strict in implementing Covid guidelines.
Prashanth Reddy appealed to the farmers to cooperate with the government in paddy procurement during the lockdown period and follow the 6 am to 10 am relaxation period.
Armoor RDO Srinivas, DSP Raghu, Inspector Vijay, police and revenue officials participated in the meeting.
