Works at Yadadri temple in final stage
Hundreds of artisans and sculptors worked hard and chiseled out towering gopurams, attractive sculpture and beautiful outer and inner prakarams on the temple premises
Hyderabad: From a small temple constructed in about 2,500 square yards, the Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple atop Yadagirigutta is now expanded to over 3.5 acres. Hundreds of artisans and sculptors worked hard and chiseled out towering gopurams, attractive sculpture and beautiful outer and inner prakarams on the temple premises.
The works, which commenced on April 21, 2016, are done and the temple staff is now engaged in clearing the debris and making it ready for reopening. Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao is likely to visit the temple on Thursday and inspect the works.

The striking aspect about the temple work is excepting for black stone and lime and mortar, conventional materials like cement, bricks and concrete were not used as per the heritage norms for laying, jointing and bonding of stones.
In a span of about four years, Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy temple, atop Yadagirigutta has undergone a drastic transformation. With the infrastructure in place, there is a provision to facilitate darshan for 40,000 pilgrims in one hour.
YTDA CEO G Kishan Rao said all the works pertaining to pushkarni, Kalyana Katta, circular road, queue lines, prasadam complex will be completed by this month end.
