Hyderabad: The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) organised a one-day workshop on ‘Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Rural Development, Panchayati Raj, and Agriculture’ on Saturday.

The workshop aimed to explore the applications of AI in addressing key challenges across agriculture, animal husbandry, rural development, Panchayati Raj, and self-help groups (SHGs).


Dr G Narendra Kumar, Director General of NIRDPR outlined the workshop’s objectives and the vision of the Center of Excellence (CoE) in AI. JRK Rao, OSD-cum-Interim Coordinator, CoE in AI, provided insights into the expectations from the workshop and the roadmap for AI integration in rural governance.

The inaugural address was delivered by NN Sinha, Former Secretary, Rural Development, Government of India.
