World Earth Day: Pragathi Resorts and Green India Challenge representatives plant saplings

Pragathi Resort chairman, GBK Rao said the only way to check the increasing pollution was to plant more and more saplings.

Hyderabad: On the occasion of World Earth Day, the management of Pragathi Resorts and Green India Challenge representatives took up planting of saplings here on Thursday.

The campaign had saplings of various plants with medicinal properties planted and special puja was also organised for the early recovery of Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao and prayers were made for the coronavirus pandemic to end at the earliest.

Speaking on the occasion, Pragathi Resort chairman, GBK Rao said the only way to check the increasing pollution was to plant more and more saplings. “It is the responsibility of all of us to protect the earth from the perils of pollution,” he said.

Praising TRS Member of Parliament, Joginapally Santosh Kumar for coming up with Green India Challenge, Rao said the initiative has been instrumental in creating awareness among people about environment. He said Pragathi Resort will work with Green India Challenge in the endeavour.
