Hyderabad: Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi launched Xiaomi 11 Lite NE 5G from a starting price of Rs 26,999 on Wednesday. With an AMOLED display, triple rear cameras, a Snapdragon 778G chipset, and a 4,250mAh battery with fast-charging support, the device will be available in two variants – 6GB + 128GB at Rs 26,999 and 8GB + 128 GB at Rs 28,999.
The new smartphone will be launched on October 2 at 12 midnight in four colour options: diamond dazzle, tuscany coral, jazz blue, and vinyl black across Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and Mi Studio, and authorised retail partners. The smartphone houses a 64MP (f/1.8) primary sensor, an 8MP (f/2.2) ultra-wide lens, and a 5MP (f/2.4) telemacro snapper. For selfies and video calling, it has a 20MP (f/2.2) front-facing camera.
MS Store adds third-party apps
Microsoft that introduced its new Microsoft Store in June is now all set to launch to the public alongside Windows 11 on October 5. It means that the company is announcing opening its store to third-party apps and integrating into the Microsoft Store.
As per a blog written by Giorgio Sardo, general manager, Microsoft Store, “Today we’re announcing another significant update to our Microsoft Store on Windows policies, which will allow third-party storefront apps to be discoverable in the Microsoft Store on Windows. We are also sharing that Amazon and Epic Games will bring their storefront apps to the Microsoft Store over the next few months, and we look forward to welcoming other stores as well in the future.”
Since June, hundreds of app developers have registered for their preview programme to bring their desktop apps on-board. Popular apps like Discord, Zoom, VLC, TeamViewer, and Visual Studio Code are all now listed in the Microsoft Store. Any browser can now be listed in the Microsoft Store, too, and both Opera and Yandex Browser have taken advantage of Microsoft’s new policies, reports The Verge.
Vacuum cleaners in Realme’s kitty
Expanding its product offerings beyond smartphones, Realme is all set to launch new products in the vacuum cleaning, air purifier and washing machine space. Under the Realme TechLife, the company is set to launch its two types of vacuum cleaner and air purifier on September 30. The two types of vacuum cleaners include robot vaccum and handheld vacuum cleaner.
In addition, the company is all set to launch its Realme Techlife Washing Machine on October 1 and will be going on sale on Flipkart for Rs 19,990. It is a fully automatic washing machine with a capacity of 7.5 kgs and a 700 RPM motor.
