Yadadri-Bhongir: Dalit Bandhu amount of Rs 10 lakh was deposited in the accounts of each of 76 beneficiaries of Vasalamarry in Thurkapally mandal in Yadadri-Bhongir district on Thursday. As the Dalits started receiving SMSes to their mobile number about the deposit of Rs 10 lakh to their bank account, a festive atmosphere prevailed in the dalit wada of Vasalamarry.
Dalits gathered at a main centre of their colony and raised slogans praising the Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. According to officials, the amount deposited in the bank accounts of the beneficiaries would be locked until approval of the government for their units.
