Yadadri-Bhongir: Vasalamarry villagers take part in shramadan

Yadadri-Bhongir: Following the call given by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao, villagers of Vasalamarry in Thurkapally mandal on Tuesday participated in shramadan and cleaned roadside bushes and planted saplings in the area.
District Collector Pamela Satpathy was a source of inspiration to the villagers since she personally participated in the shramadan.
Speaking on the occasion, Pamela Satpathy said that the involvement of all the villagers in shramadham would help in the overall development of Vasalamarry, which has been adopted by the Chief Minister. Training would be provided to the unemployed in the village under a skill development programme to provide employment to them on a war footing. After completion of the training, a job mela would be held for them, she added.
She instructed the Tasildar to take up a special drive under Dharani to solve land-related issues in the villages within 15 days. She also asked the people to take up shramadan in a big way after completion of agriculture works of the monsoon crop season and ensure that Vasalamarry emerges as a model for the entire State. She also underlined the need to ensure the survival of every sapling planted in the village.
Earlier, the District Collector launched 250 solar street lights set up in the village by switching on the control board. District Rural Development Officer Upender Reddy, village sarpanch Pogula Anjaneyulu, MPTC Naveen Kumar and Tasildar Jyothy also participated in the programme.
