Hyderabad: Yashoda Foundation, the CSR initiative of Yashoda Hospitals, distributed about 6,000 masks to 3,000 Adivasi people from six villages of Tiryani mandal in Asifabad district. The face coverings were distributed to people belonging to Gond and Kolam communities who dwell in the remote hamlets and villages including Manghi, Pangidimadara, Rompally, Gundala, and Gudipeta.
The initiative of distributing masks among the members of the tribal community was taken up through the local police officials. Director, Yashoda Hospitals Group, Dr Abhinav Gorukanti said, “We are grateful for this opportunity to serve the remotest part of Telangana and extend our thanks to the local police and the self-help groups for distributing the masks”.
Director, Yashoda Hospitals Group, Dr Pavan Gorukanti emphasised on the use of masks as an important tool to fight the pandemic.
