Peddapalli: Chief General Manager, NTPC (Ramagundam & Telangana), Sunil Kumar on Monday underlined the importance of the age-old practice of yoga which rejuvenates body, mind, soul and heart. “It not only energizes the human body but also increases immunity which is vital in the fight against Covid-19,” he added.
He was speaking after inaugurating the 7th International Yoga Day at NTPC (Ramagundam/Telangana) through virtual mode.
Yoga trainer A Vijay Kumar spoke on “Yoga for Healthy Life” and showed various yoga postures to the participants through virtual mode. In fact, Vijay Kumar has been conducting a month-long online yoga classes for employees, dependents and associates since June 16, 2021.
As part of the programme, the CSR section also organized an interaction session for students of TS EAMCET coaching wherein Sunil Kumar advised them to make yoga an integral part of their lives to achieve good health and success.
A yoga lecture on “Easy way of doing Yoga” by Dr. Rajeev Kumar, Yoga Instructor from Bihar School of Yoga, Munger has also been planned for the employees.
Meanwhile, Deepthi Mahila Samithi (Ladies Club) in association with the HR department also conducted a lecture on “Stress Management by Sahaja Yoga during Pandemic” by Sh Jasmin Panchal, practitioner of Sahaja Yoga Meditation, for members and their families.
