You are a fantastic co-star, says Adivi Sesh to actress Wamiqa Gabbi

Adivi Sesh wished co-star Wamiqa Gabbi a belated happy birthday, calling her a “fantastic” co-star in Goodachari 2. The film, also starring Emraan Hashmi, aims to expand the hit spy franchise.

Chennai: Actor Adivi Sesh, who plays the lead in director Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi’s spy action thriller Goodachari 2, penned a belated birthday post in an adorable fashion for his co-star Wamiqa Gabbi.

Taking to his X timeline on Tuesday, a day after the actress had celebrated her birthday, Adivi Sesh wrote: “Many many happy returns of the day dear @iWamiqaGabbi!! You’re a fantastic co-star and you’ve given so many layers of gravitas to your role. Happy Birthday to our Talented, Beautiful and Professional Lead Actress of #G2 #Goodachari2.”

Interestingly, he added a postscript that read, “p.s. forgive me for the late wishes,” with a folded hands emoji.

Apart from playing the lead, Adivi Sesh has also scripted the film. Goodachari 2 has triggered huge expectations among fans and film buffs, primarily because of the phenomenal success of its prequel Goodachari (2018), which also featured Sesh in the lead.

While the blockbuster Goodachari was directed by Sashi Kiran Tikka, the upcoming sequel is being helmed by Vinay Kumar Sirigineedi.

The new film aims to redefine the boundaries of regional cinema by bringing together top talent from both the South and North. Bollywood actor Emraan Hashmi, most recently seen in the Telugu blockbuster They Call Him OG, will play a parallel lead in the film.

Sources indicate that Emraan Hashmi will share screen space with Adivi Sesh but not in a negative role. His character will be positioned as a parallel lead.

The sequel seeks to build on the success of the first part and take the Goodachari franchise to new heights.

The 2018 film featured Sobhita Dhulipala, Jagapathi Babu, and Prakash Raj in pivotal roles.
