Young dancer Divya Pathak impresses with Kathak Arangetram in Hyderabad
Young dancer Divya Pathak presented her Kathak arangetram at Ravindra Bharathi in Hyderabad under Guru Raghava Raj Bhatt. Her recital featured Teentaal, Radha-Krishna-themed Holi choreography, Dashavatara and Tarana, accompanied by a team of classical musicians.

Hyderabad: Young dancer Divya Pathak made an impression on her Kathak Arangetram under the auspices of the Akruti Kathak Kendra at Ravindra Bharathi auditorium. Her debut under Central Sangeet Natak Akademi awardee Natya Guru Raghava Raj Bhatt was a feast for the eyes throughout.
Starting with Guru Stotram, Divya showcased her talent with an elegant performance of 16 beats Teen Tal, the most popular Hindustani Classical music. She received applause for her Kathak dance depiction of Radhakrishna’s love on the occasion of Holi festival, followed by Dashavataram. She ended her debut with a traditional Tharana performance.
Fateh Singh Ganga was impressed with Pakhwaj’s instrumental playing the lead role in the debut and while Madhu Prasad contributed vocals, Uday Kumar played tabla, Lavanya Ambade played sitar, Puneet Sisodia played sarangi, Raghav Sai played flute and Harika played instruments. Amit Kumar’s Ahodyam, Basava Raju’s lighting and Madhav Raj Bhatt’s design add extra charm. Guru Dr Raghava Raj Bhat coordinated the sabha while Parag Pathak supervised it.
