Mancherial: A young farmer drowned in agriculture well after suffering an electric shock while he was trying to irrigate his paddy field with an electric motor at Teekannapalli village in Hajipur mandal on Sunday.
Hajipur Sub-Inspector Chandrasekhar said that the deceased was Yadagiri Sunil (18), the son of Thirupathi and native of Teekannapalli village.
Sunil met with a watery grave in agriculture well after he came in contact with a live wire when he was operating the motor. Some neighbouring farmers noticed the body and alerted his family members. On being informed, Hajipur police rushed to the spot and inquired into the incident. Based on a complaint lodged by his father, a case was registered.
