Young India Skills University inks MoU with Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation

Young India Skills University and Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation signed an MoU to implement ‘Seva with Skill’, a capacity-building programme combining classroom learning and on-the-job training to develop professional, hygienic, and value-oriented support staff for institutional kitchens

Hyderabad: The Young India Skills University (YISU) and the Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation (HKMCF) on Monday signed an MoU to jointly design and implement a unique capacity-building initiative titled ‘Seva with Skill’ aimed at developing professional, hygienic, disciplined, and value-driven support staff for institutional kitchens and allied services, a press release said.

The ‘Seva with Skill’ programme will comprise two months of classroom-based learning, followed by 15 days of supervised on-the-job training. The curriculum will focus on workplace discipline, hygiene and food safety, teamwork, professional conduct, basic financial literacy, problem-solving, and values-based service orientation rooted in the spirit of seva (selfless service).


Young India Skills University will provide academic oversight, programme structure, learner management, and certification to successful participants. Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation will collaborate in co-designing and delivering domain-specific modules and will nominate master trainers for kitchen operations and service-oriented components. Certification will be issued by YISU, with co-branding subject to mutual Consent.

VLVSS Subba Rao, VC, Young India Skills University; Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa Prabhu, president, Hare Krishna Movement Charitable Foundation, along with senior officials from both the institutions were present.
