Young journalist succumbs to Covid-19 in Telangana

A native of Dubbak, he was working for Eenadu for over 15 years in Siddipet town.

Siddipet: Chintha Nagaraju (40), a journalist working for a vernacular daily in Siddipet town, died of Covid-19 at a corporate hospital in Hyderabad on Wednesday.

Nagaraju, who tested positive a week ago, was shifted to Hyderabad hospital a few days ago. A native of Dubbak, he was working for Eenadu for over 15 years in Siddipet town.


Finance Minister T Harish Rao, who helped Nagaraju get the best treatment, expressed shock over the sudden demise of the young journalist. Stating that he had lost a close friend, the Minister said he could not control himself from breaking down on hearing the sad news.

District Collector P Venkatrami Reddy also sent condolence messages to the bereaved family members. Several leaders, officials and journalist union leaders also expressed shock.
