Young man attacked with sharp weapons over love marriage in Hyderabad

In Hyderabad, a young man was brutally assaulted by his wife’s brother and associates over a love marriage. The victim, Ajay, was attacked with knives after being targeted with chilli powder and is now undergoing critical treatment at Gandhi Hospital.

Hyderabad: A young man was brutally attacked, allegedly by his brother-in-law and his associates, over a love marriage on Friday. Police suspect it was a premeditated assault.

The victim, identified as Ajay from Neredmet, was reportedly called by the assailants to the outskirts of Ramalingampally village near Bommalaramaram.

According to a preliminary investigation, the accused, including the woman’s brother, allegedly threw chilli powder at him before attacking him with knives.

Ajay suffered severe injuries in the assault. Police shifted him to Gandhi Hospital, where he is currently undergoing treatment in a critical condition.

A case has been registered and efforts are underway to trace and nab the suspects. Police said further investigation is in progress.
