Siddipet: A young man drowned in a tank when he entered it to catch some birds at Rudraram village in Mirudoddi Mandal on Saturday.
The victim was identified as Madhukar (26), who swam across the tank to reach a place to set up some traps to catch the birds the other side of the tank.
On his way back, the tired Madhukar drowned.
The body has been fished out. Later, the body was taken to Area Hospital Dubbak for postmortem.
A case has been registered.
