Young man swept away while fishing in stream in Adilabad
One of them, identified as Addala Rajender alias Raghu, was swept away by the strong current while attempting to wade through the floodwaters.
Adilabad: A 25-year-old man from Adilabad town was washed away in a stream while trying to catch fish near Vaddadi village in Tamsi mandal on Tuesday. The young man’s body has not been retrieved yet.
According to locals, two men from Vinayaknagar in Adilabad entered the stream for fishing. One of them, identified as Addala Rajender alias Raghu, was swept away by the strong current while attempting to wade through the floodwaters.
The other man immediately alerted nearby villagers and informed the police. A rescue team rushed to the spot and launched a search operation. However, the body had not been traced as of 6 pm, the police said.
