Hyderabad: A youngster, allegedly under the influence of a whitener, created panic by attacking people on the road in Chatrinaka in the old city on Friday night.
Police said the youngster, identified as Rakesh, who is addicted to whitener suddenly started abusing and throwing stones at commuters on the road. When those passing by the route tried to stop him, he ended up injuring himself with the stone.
He suffered grievous bleeding self-inflicting injuries on his head and other parts of the body. On receiving information, the Chatrinaka police reached the spot and shifted him to the Osmania General Hospital for treatment. Few days ago, a similar incident was reported from the old city.
