Kumram Bheem Asifabad: A court here on Friday sentenced a man to 35 years of rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 50,000 for attempting to rape a minor girl after kidnapping her 12 years ago. District Principal and Sessions Judge MV Ramesh convicted Sai Charan Reddy of Nizamabad after finding him guilty of attempting to rape the minor girl from Asifabad while she was studying in a private college in Nizamabad in April 2013. The court examined evidence and cross-questioned eyewitnesses produced by public prosecutor M Srinivas.
