Hyderabad: A youngster allegedly killed his mother, after she scolded him for working out in the early hours at their house at Ram Koti in Sultan Bazaar on Monday.

Police sources said the suspect Sudheer Kumar, was exercising in his room around 2.30 am, when his mother K.Papamma (45), scolded him for working out at that time.

Both had argued over it and after a heated argument, Sudheer is suspected to have grabbed an iron rod and attacked on Papamma’s head. She suffered grievous injuries and died.

The Sultan Bazaar police are investigating. Sudheer was taken into custody.
