Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Cybercrime police on Saturday caught a youngster from Mumbai on charges of harassing a minor girl from the city on social media. Sources said Amir Ahmed Khan (22), who works for a footwear manufacturing company, became close with the 15-year-old girl on a dating app. They exchanged phone numbers and continued chatting on WhatsApp for some days. During their conversation, the youngster managed to collect her private pictures and videos using which he started to threaten and harass her.
He pressurised her to meet him in person in Mumbai, failing which he would make her private pictures and videos public, police said, adding that the girl got scared and informed her parents, who approached the Cybercrime police. Khan was then traced and arrested from Mumbai. Investigation revealed that he had victimised another girl too in the same way, police said.
