Youngster murdered over love affair in Nirmal
Nirmal: A youngster was murdered by another youngster when they both allegedly clashed with each other over love affair with a girl at Priyadarshini nagar in Nirmal district headquarters on Wednesday. Nirmal Inspector M Srinivas said that the deceased was Prasad (25), a technician of an eye hospital resident of Kokeshawaram. The accused, Khayyum, a native of Dilawarpur and employee of the same hospital was detained.
Qayyum picked up an argument with Prasad over the girl with who both of them fell in love, on Tuesday night. In a fit of rage, he stabbed Prasad with an iron rod which he was carrying. Prasad was immediately shifted to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment. The girl was also working in the same hospital. It is said that Qayyum was in love with the girl for four years. He was anguished when she started moving closely with Prasad.
Based on a complainant received from the father of the victim, a case was registered against Qayyum under 302 (Murder) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). Investigations were taken up. Post-mortem of the body was held at Nirmal district headquarters hospital.
