Youngster sets house ablaze after mother refuses money for liquor in Telangana

Medak: An unemployed youngster, who had reportedly fallen into bad habits, set fire to his house after his mother refused to give him money to buy liquor and a car. The house, along with all its valuables, was completely gutted. The incident was reported from Naskal village of Nizampet mandal on Friday night.
Police said the youngster, Goutham Reddy (30), had been pestering his mother for money to buy a car and liquor. On Friday afternoon, he continued to demand money, but his mother refused to relent. Goutham reportedly picked up an argument with her. As the argument intensified and he threatened to attack her, the woman left the house and rushed to a relative’s house.
Goutham reportedly returned home on Friday night when his mother was not present and set the house on fire. The house and valuables were gutted in the fire. Police registered a case and an investigation was underway.
