Hyderabad: The Mailardevpally police arrested three youngsters on charges of attempting to steal LED bulbs from a function hall at Katedan here on Wednesday.
The arrested persons are Mohd Shoaib Ali alias Mark (19), an Air-Conditioner technician from Bahadurpura, Mohd Shoaib Khan (20), a degree student from Charminar and Mir Akram Uddin alias Akram (19), a sofa repairer from Kamatipura.
According to the police, early on Monday, the trio sneaked into the Queen Palace function hall premises and when a wedding reception was going on, they stole LED bulbs worth Rs.2.9 lakh. The manager of the function hall, Shaik Shaheed saw them and tried to catch them, but they fled the spot leaving the LED bulbs.
Based on a complaint from the manager, the Mailardevpally police booked a case and nabbed them.
