Youth arrested for sexually assaulting a minor girl

Police have registered a case at the Jubilee Hills police station in connection with the case involving Chandrashekhar Azad alias Arjun, who allegedly deceived young girls on instagram

Hyderabad: A new case has been registered at the Jubilee Hills police station in connection with the case involving Chandrashekhar Azad alias Arjun, who allegedly deceived young girls under the guise of love using the Instagram platform.

In connection with that case, the police have now arrested a friend of the prime suspect, Arjun.

According to the police, Jitender Reddy alias Jithin, a resident of Jagadgirigutta, established contact via Instagram in 2024 with a 15-year-old girl from KPHB who was studying in the tenth grade.

Initially engaging in friendly conversation, he later took her to a ‘Drive-in’ establishment in Jubilee Hills, where he behaved inappropriately.

Threatening to make her photographs go viral on social media, he took her to a hotel in Miyapur and subjected her to sexual assault.
Police said exploiting the victim’s personal photographs, he extorted a sum of  Rs 2.48 lakhs. His friends also subjected the girl to mental harassment, circulating her personal photographs and false information on social media.

Acting on information, the police took Jithin into custody near the Peddamma Temple on Thursday night. He will be sent to judicial custody.
