Youth dies under suspicious circumstances during Ganesh procession in Hyderabad
An unidentified youth, believed to be 18 years old, died under suspicious circumstances during a Ganesh idol immersion procession at Ram Nagar in Hyderabad on Saturday night. Police said it was unclear whether the victim suffered a cardiac arrest or succumbed amid the heavy rush.

Hyderabad: An unidentified youth died under suspicious circumstances during a Ganesh idol arrival procession at Ram Nagar crossroads under the Musheerabad Police Station limits on Saturday night.
The procession, organised by the Ram Nagar Sri Ganapati Youth Association, witnessed a large gathering of devotees and city residents.
Police said it is not yet clear whether the youth, believed to be aged 18 years, suffered a cardiac arrest or died amid the heavy rush and commotion during the procession.
He was immediately taken to Gandhi Hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The Musheerabad police are investigating.
A police official said the exact cause of death would be established based on the investigation and the doctor’s opinion. The identity of the victim was yet to be ascertained when the last reports came in.
