Nalgonda: A youth drowned in a village tank at Kalya thanda of Dindi mandal in Nalgonda district on Wednesday. The victim was identified as K Tirupathi (24), a native of Kalya thanda, and earning a livelihood by running an autorickshaw in Hyderabad. He came to his native place from Hyderabad due to the lockdown.
According to police, Tirupathi went to Bapankunta located near the village for a swim and drowned as he didn’t know swimming. The villagers noticed his body floating on the water in the afternoon and fished it out from the tank.
On getting the information from the villagers, Dindi police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the area hospital of Devarakonda for autopsy.
