Youth from Kodad dies in United States

Sriripuram Ravi Kumar (26) went on a boating trip and got drowned in a river in the United States.

Suryapet: A native of Kodad town Shiripurapu Ravi Kumar (28) drowned in a boat mishap in Hartford city of Connecticut state in the United States, according to reports reaching here. Ravi Kumar was son of Srinivas Rao and Padma, who were residents of Azad Nagar in Kodad town in the district.

The parents of Ravi received a telephone call from his friends in US that their son drowned when he went for a joy trip and boating in the Connecticut River at 2.30 pm on Friday (US Time). Ravi died while undergoing a treatment in a local hospital. Speaking to the media, Srinivas Rao said that his son went to US about three years back to pursue MS Course in University of Connecticut. After completion of MS Course, he had joined a job in Cigna Insurance Company at Hartford city of Connecticut state in the United States about one year and three months back. He was unmarried.

He requested the Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao to take initiative to bring the body of their son to the native place in the state.
