Hyderabad: The Rachakonda Cybercrime police arrested a youngster from Saidabad on charges of harassing a woman by creating fake Instagram and Facebook profiles in her name. The man, C Venkanna Rajasekhar Reddy (26), a resident of Madannapet in Saidabad, allegedly created fake Instagram and Facebook profiles of the victim, with whom he was in a friendship earlier.
“He had taken private images of the woman without her knowledge. When she started avoiding him for some reasons, he took revenge by circulating morphed nude pictures on Instagram and Facebook,” said S Harinath, ACP (Cybercrime), Rachakonda. Based on a complaint from the victim, the police booked a case and arrested Reddy on Wednesday.
