Youth saves four lives through Jeevandan organ donation
A 23-year-old MA student from Narayanpet, declared brain dead after a road accident, has saved four lives through organ donation. His family donated his heart, liver and kidneys under the State-run Jeevandan programme, earning appreciation from Jeevandan Telangana.

Hyderabad: Family members of 23-year-old youngster K Kiran Kumar, a resident of Alampally, Narayanpet, who was declared brain dead, have decided to donate his organs to needy patients under the State-run Jeevandan organ donation initiative.
On Thursday, June 25, Kiran Kumar, pursuing an MA in English from City College, Hyderabad, was travelling on a two-wheeler when he was hit by a car at Medippally.
Immediately, his family members shifted him to a local hospital and later shifted him to a private hospital in Hyderabad for better treatment.
The youngster was put on emergency treatment, but his health condition did not improve. The doctors declared him brain dead on Monday.
The mother of brain-dead victim K Yellamma and his brother K Anil made the heartfelt decision to donate his kidneys (02), liver (01), and Heart (01), and in the process helped four patients in need.
Jeevandan Telangana has extended its gratitude to the family members of K Kiran Kumar, whose noble decision has saved lives.
