Khammam: The youth who was set ablaze at Ramanagutta area in the city on Saturday following a dispute over real estate transaction died on Sunday.

The victim, D Veeresh (21), died while undergoing treatment for serious burn injuries at the District Government Hospital here. According to his parents, Veeresh had an argument with the accused M Sanjeeva Rao over sale of a house plot which the latter executed.

The Two Town Inspector of Police T Gopi told Telangana Today that based on the complaint of the victim’s father, a case was registered against Sanjeeva Rao and his six family members. Investigation was underway and the accused was yet to be arrested, he added.
