Youth sets his mother ablaze in Telangana’s Warangal over property dispute

Warangal: A youth allegedly set his mother ablaze at Kuntapalli village of Sangem mandal in the district during early hours on Saturday.

The accused Muthineni Sathish doused his 50-year-old mother Vinoda with petrol and set her on fire. She was rushed to MGM Hospital in Warangal for treatment. According to doctors the woman suffered nearly 85 per cent burns and her condition was critical.

In a declaration to the magistrate she confessed about her son’s drastic act. The accused fled the scene after committing the heinous act. Based on the complaint by the woman’s family members the local police booked a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Property dispute was said to be the reason behind the incident.
